Rosalind "Roz" McCarthy is a unique force within the cannabis community precisely because she puts her money where her mouth is. Driven by 20-plus years of business expertise and her devotion for equity within the medical marijuana industry, McCarthy founded Minorities for Medical Marijuana (M4MM) in May, 2016.

What was initially prompted by a series of personal tragedies has resulted in an active entrepreneurial community that is rapidly spreading across the country, and beyond. The Florida-based organization is more than an advocacy group—it’s an expanding network of partnerships that work in tandem to provide real opportunities for people of color to thrive within the green space.

Roz McCarthy, a proud Florida State University graduate, is a marketing, business development, social media strategist, trainer and speaker located in Orlando, FL. With over 22 years of experience, Roz is a constant creator of branding campaigns and business development strategies. Roz is a direct and target marketing consultants who assists with marketing plans, copywriting, designing top-pulling mailings, ads, catalogs and web pages for businesses, non-profits, consumers and professionals. Roz consults businesses on startup and non-profit new business development, government contracting, diversity planning, minority certification and content marketing.

As the Founder & CEO of Minorities for Medical Marijuana, Inc (M4MM), Roz is responsible for the organization's day-to-day operations and is the chief strategist involved in developing advocacy, education and marketing campaigns to promote awareness, information and education about the efficacy of medical marijuana. It is a varied role that includes planning, marketing, advertising, public relations, event organization, fund development, sponsorship and research.

M4MM is a membership-based organization working hard to make sure that people of color have a true quantifiable opportunity to participate in this marketplace and are afforded adequate access to care despite their economic situation.

Roz is also the founder of The Genesis Group, a successful marketing, advertising and business development company servicing government, non-profit, healthcare, telecommunications, entertainment and hospitality companies worldwide. Principal clients have included the Department of Veterans Affairs, Stouffer Hotels and Resorts, Edward D. Jones, FOX, Phoenix House, Department of Children and Family Services and AT&T.
