What age group is this program designed to serve?
The program is best for children between the ages of 7 and 14. However, children of exceptional ability who are under the age of 7 may be able to absorb the concepts with the help of a parent or listen to the content for exposure and to help with later retention of concepts.
Also, children over the age of 14 (including parents) can benefit from the very simple way that Dr Watkins relays important and complex concepts. This course is designed to be a structurally-sound introduction to basic financial literacy, so these ideas will stay with you for life. We have many adults who begin with the children's program if they are new to the financial concepts.
How do I know if my child has absorbed the information?
The model for learning can be very simple: Watch the videos from a module, then take the quiz. If the child doesn't understand a concept, discuss it with him/her. If they still haven't retained the information, then watch the videos again, take notes and retake the quiz. If they get 100% of the questions correct, they will surely have an understanding of the core concepts.
