The Financial Juneteenth Edu-tainment Festival with Dr Boyce Watkins is part of The Black Economic Empowerment Tour. This lecture series has both an online and in-person component, in which Dr Watkins gives you digital content to facilitate your learning and also meets you in-person for a film screening, lecture or both. The festival is set to take place in Houston, Tx on July 29th, 2016 and end on July 31st.

When and where does the live event take place?
The live event takes place from Friday, July 29th through Sunday, July 31st in Houston, Texas at The Shrine of The Black Madonna. The address is 5309 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Houston, TX 77021
How long do I have access to the material?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own. We've added this digital part of this program so that your learning doesn't stop when Dr Watkins leaves the city. Instead, we want you to keep learning for life.
What if I want to buy more than one ticket?
If you want to buy access to more than one event, our recommendation is that you purchase the all-access course. This allows you, for a discounted price, to attend everything and anything you'd like for the entire weekend. You can also purchase a course level that gives you attendance to either two events or three, mixing and matching based on your preferences. Basically, the weekend is broken into five blocks, so the all-access curriculum gives you access to five pieces of the event, but you have other options that will give you access to two, three or four pieces. Why should I buy online instead of at the door?
We recommend buying online vs at the door for at least two reasons: 1) We are probably going to run out of tickets. The last time Dr Watkins was in Houston, there were no more tickets available at the door. 2) Tickets online are 25- 30 percent cheaper than tickets at the door. 3) Buying at the door doesn't give you access to the online digital content, which is of tremendous value. We don't want to just see you for one lecture. We'd love to teach you for life.
What if I need a refund?
Our refund policy is that online refunds can be given 48 hours ahead of the time that the course ticket is going to be used. So, if the event you purchased a course ticket for is on Sunday at 5 pm, you have until Friday at 5 pm to ask for a refund. Refund requests should be sent to [email protected].
Can I just stay at the venue all day if I have an all access pass?
Yes, you can. Dr Watkins is not going to be there for the entire day, but we've arranged for those who'd like to network to stay at the venue and speak to one another during the time between events. This allows you to develop new relationships that will be beneficial to you as you build your businesses and gain an understanding of how black wealth works.
If this is a live event, why does it look like a class?
Great question. Dr Watkins, a leading innovator in black economic education, felt that having a digital learning component in conjunction with a live event sequence was the best way to have an impact on the African American community.
